Naan Bread

Ingredients: 4 Cups Flour; 1 1/2 Tsp Yeast; 3/4 Cup Plain yoghurt; 1 1/2 Tsp salt; 1 Tsp Sugar; 1/4 Cup Warm water; 3/4 Cup Warm milk; 2 TBS melted butter; 3 Chopped whole garlic; 2 TBS chopped coriander; 5 TBS Melted butter; 1 TBS Crushed garlic; 1 TBS Chopped coriander; 1/2 Tsp Garlic salt

Chewy, soft and scrumptious! I get annoyed when someone presents me with a thick doughy flat bread and claim that it is naan bread and if you also get annoyed, then try this recipe and show them that this is what naan bread is meant to taste like 😜.

Ingredients

Makes 12 servings

4 CupsFlour
1 1/2 TspYeast
3/4 CupPlain yoghurt
1 1/2 Tspsalt
1 TspSugar
1/4 CupWarm water
3/4 CupWarm milk
2 TBSmelted butter
3Chopped whole garlic
2 TBSchopped coriander
Garlic Butter topping
5 TBSMelted butter
1 TBSCrushed garlic
1 TBSChopped coriander
1/2 TspGarlic salt

Steps

Add all your wet ingredients and mix together. Then add flour in slowly and mix together till you get a soft dough. Kneed for about 10 minutes.

Put your dough to the side and let it rise.

Cut your dough into 12 pieces, roll into balls and then roll out. It’s should be less then 1 cm thick. Add your coriander and garlic and roll over once.

On a very hot pan, place your naan with the toppings upside. Allow bubbles to for then flip. Each side should take 2-3 minutes each.

Your butter topping should be mixed together by now. Use a brush and brush each naan on its top as it comes out.

Continue and you’re done 😋.
