Just wanted to add a bit more to the basic recipe on the back of the packet

Ingredients

About 45min-1hour (can bet quicker)
4 people about 8 oz. each
  1. 1 PacketMcCormick Texas Chili seasoning mix
  2. 1 poundground beef (could use other types of meat as well)
  3. 1onion chopped (your preference)
  4. 1jalapeno chopped & seeded (your preference on how much to use or if at all)
  5. 1 canfire roasted tomatoes, undrained
  6. 1/2-1 canmild Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies), undrained
  7. 1russet potato chopped (your preference on how many potatoes you like)
  8. Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

About 45min-1hour (can bet quicker)

    Cook meat and drain

  2. 2

    Add chopped onions, jalapeno's and chopped potatoes to meat, stir to combine

  3. 3

    Add 1 packet McCormick seasoning packet. Mix with meat mixture until combined.

  4. 4

    Add fire roasted tomatoes and Rotel mixture, stir until combined.

  5. 5

    Cover, reduce to low heat and cook. Stir occasionally. Cook for about 30 min on low heat.

    Serve with cheese, sour cream, corn bread and/or sides of your choice. (I let me chili sit overnight and eat the next day after all flavors have had a chance to combine together.)
