Dosa Waffles is an amazing twist to the evergreen Breakfast of many people in the South. A complete meal in itself, it is very healthy and filling too. It can be fed to the very young children and the elderly too because of its soft texture. By far it remains a favourite of mine and I do hope yours is too. Doing them in a Waffle maker is a healthy option and hence it's much better as well.
It's a great option on any day for all. And it's not a big hassle too. The batter stays fresh in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. This way it becomes quite handy too. All in all, it's always a pleasure working on perfect Dosas in the kitchen for your family. But this time I did it in a Waffle maker for my family. Absolutely easy and effortlessly done in no time at all. You will just love it. The texture and the flavour remains intact. Soft and fluffy to the last bite. This is sheer bliss.

Steps
- 1
Soak rice and dal separately for 6 hours or more. Add fenugreek seeds and Bengal gram to the dal while soaking. Grind them separately as well. Add Salt and leave it to ferment overnight. The batter should be semi-thick with a flowing consistency.
- 2
Heat a waffle maker. Brush with oil or ghee. Pour a ladleful of the batter into both the plates or the depressions. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. If you like it a bit crisper, then allow it to cook for a minute more. That's it.
- 3
Serve them hot with Split Chickpea Chutney/Putana Dal Chutney Coconut Chutney Tomato Onion Chutney or any other of your choice. Enjoy!
