Steps

Firstly, soak moth bean overnight and take moth bean in pressure cooker, also add haldi, salt and water, take 3 whistles or till it becomes soft and keep it separate.

Now heat oil, fry ginger, garlic and masala paste. Saute onion till it turns golden brown.

Add coconut and roast for a minute. Saute tomatoes till it becomes soft.

Cool the mixture completely, transfer to a blender. Add water nnd blend till smooth paste, keep it separate.

In a large kadai heat oil, rai, jeera, curry leaves and heat until it crackle. Also add spices.

Cook on low flame till the spices become fragrant. Now, add prepared masala paste and fry well.

Cook till oil is removed from masala paste. Add cooked matki, small pieces of jaggery and salt, mix well.

Add 5 cups of water and adjust the consistency. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until the misal is completely cooked.

Once the misal is cooked, the oil starts to float indicating that the misal is ready.

In a serving plate take a moth bean and pour some farsan over it. Add some chopped onions and coriander on top.

Pour 1 serving spoon gravy on top of moth bean.

Finally, serve misal with pav and lemon wedges and misal pav is ready.
