Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 600 gBeef Schnitzel
  2. 1fresh big Tomato, cut into chunk
  3. 100 gCabbage, wash then slice them roughly
  4. 2celery stalk, cut into chunks
  5. 1/2leeks sliced largely the white & green parts
  6. 1Red Capsicum/Red Bell pepper, deseeded, then cut into chunk
  7. 1big white onions, diced finely
  8. 4garlic, smashed then diced
  9. 4 cmfresh ginger, peeled, then diced finely
  10. 6Basil leaves, sliced thinly
  11. 2long fresh Red chilli, deseeded then diced finely
  12. 4 tbsWortchestershire sauce
  13. 1lemon zest/ lemon grated skin
  14. Rice Jasmine, cook in Rice Cooker, for 4 people
  15. 4 cupsRice Bran Oil (Alpha One) for deep fry the meat

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the beef into large rectangular pieces. Put into a large plate and put over the Worchestershire Sauce. To marinade for 20 minutes turning over once.

    Prepare the Rice for 4 people, wash them three times. Then cook the Rice on the Rice Cooker.

  3. 3

    In a wok, put the oil, let it become hot enough then put the Beef pieces, deep fry for 4 minutes, then turn them over and let them fry for another 2 minutes. When they are almost cook (don't overcook), take them off, transfer them onto a large flat dish, set aside. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top.

    Take off the oil, leaving 2 cups. Put the onions, stir fry for 2' then add the garlic and the ginger paste and the fresh Red chilli pieces and stir fry for another 1'. Then add the leeks, the capsicum pieces & the cabbage on and stir for another 3' then add the fresh tomato pieces & the herb basils and stir fry for 2'. Sprinkle on top with the Salt & Black Pepper.

    Finally put back the cooked Beef pieces, sprinkle the lemon zest on top and let it cook stirring all together with a big spoon for 3 '. Taste the salt. When is ready put them into a serving bowl. To serve with the warm Jasmine Rice.

As an ordinary housewife, I love doing home cooking & baking, or sperimenting world culinary but I'm a learner in the kitchen, so bear patience with me of my mistakes as all depend on time, availability, strength of health,moods & budget. I have to do the recipes that suites to me, to my husband, kid to my own family's preferences, so my cooking is just simple and not a restaurant style.🇮🇩 😚 I spent my childhood till teen age in Indonesia, a country that loves rice, spicy casserole with gravy, light soup bowls with sambals hot chili sauce on top. My mum cook almost daily 🐟🐋🐬fresh fish dishes, a menu that has plenty of vegetables on the table, we oftenly have snack many times a day. Delightful for us as kids to have🍍🍋🌽plenty of tropical fruits at home. In my birth city the sun shine 10 months yearly, the heavy raining season is 2-3 months approximately it depends in what zone location you are.😍My mom is passionately into cooking and I growing up got inspired and learnt from her cooking recipes, but I didnt learn much because I spent most of the time with the school programs.😍🌶Now I live with my husband in New Zealand. I couldn't find many of the ingredients from the Asian stores for my cooking, so I've tried to substitute the ingredients. The results are that the taste of my cooked dishes are not perfect to the original recipes. I've to reduce the quantity of the hot chilies as my husband or invited friends who can't eat hot meal at all but the main thing is that the dishes taste delicious & healthy.My quote: Keep on trying to improve my own cooking.
