Soak matki in water for 7 to 8 hrs and then remove water and wrap it tightly with thin cloth and keep it overnight.

Remove the cloth in morning and cook it in cooker by adding some water for 3 whistles..matki can be cooked in vessel on gas also but in cooker it takes less time.

Heat 1 tsp oil in kadhai and add chopped dry coconut,chopped onion and garlic cloves. Saute it until brown in colour

Switch off the gas and let it cool. Once it cools down grind the ingredients in mixer pot.once the mixture is ready heat oil in kadhai and add cumin seeds let it crack then add asafoetida and add the mixture.

Saute the mixture for 5 min then add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt as per taste and usal masala. Add little water and cook it for 5 min.

Now add cooked matki in it and mix all ingredients well. Pour 4 to 5 medium size glasses of water and cook it for 7 to 8 min.

Usal Paav is ready garnish it with chopped coriander and serve hot 🔥 with chopped pieces of lemon🍋,chopped onion and Fharsaan. Tastes fantastic..😋😋
