Cooking Instructions

Soak Urad Dal for 6-7 hours, grind into a smooth paste by adding very less water. Add salt and whisk for 2-3 minutes.
We need almost Idli batter type consistency but fluffy. - 2
Prepare sugar syrup by adding water + sugar, let sugar dissolve, add cardamom pods and boil for 6-7 minutes. We need a thin syrup….. one string consistency.

Now pinch small small or medium portions from batter and drop into medium hot oil, deep fry till golden brown.

Then immediately transfer to prepared sugar syrup and allow fritters to dunk for 5-6 hours and fritters will plump and turn soft. Discard cardamom pods.

Rosh Bora / Sweet Lentil Dumplings is ready to serve.
