Ingredients

  • 2long brinjals
  • 1/2 cupchickpeas flour
  • 1/4 cuprice flour
  • 1 tbspginger chilli paste
  • 1 tspasafoetida
  • 1 tbspred chili powder
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tsproasted cumin powder (optional)
  • as requiredSalt to taste
  • as requiredMustard oil for shallow fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and make thin slices of brinjal.

    Take all the ingredients except oil and add ¾ cup of water and make smooth but slight thick batter.

    Heat oil in frying pan. Coat the brinjal slices in the batter and shallow fry in the pan,till crisp and golden in colour

    Serve hot with rice or roti/chapati/luchi/Puri.
