Finely chop bottle gourd and keep aside

Marinade prawns for 10 minutes with salt + turmeric + red chilli powder.
Then fry till golden brown and keep aside. - 3
In moderately heated pan/ kadhai, add oil, allow to heat, then add bay leaf + cumin seeds and allow to crackle, then add chopped bottle gourd + green chilli + salt + turmeric and mix well.
Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Bottle gourd releases water. - 4
Now add fried prawns and cook till water evaporates.
Dish is done. - 5
Serve with hot steamed rice and enjoy the delicacy.
