Heat pan. Add oil. When oil is heated, add cumin seeds. When cumin seeds splutter, add green chilies. Saute for a minute. Add onion. Cook onion till it changes into golden pink colour.

Now add potatoes. Add turmeric powder and cumin coriander powder. Stir it.

Add 1/4 cup of water. Cover lid. Cook potatoes. Stir occasionally. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes.

Add another 1/4 cup of water. Cover lid. Cook potatoes completely. Stir occasionally.

Add methi leaves. Add garam masala. Mix it. Cover it. Cook for another 5 minutes. Lastly add salt.

Aloo methi is ready to serve. Serve it with hot phulkas or roti or with dal rice.
