Orange Tutti Fruity Cake
Cooking Instructions

Take a bowl, crack open 2 eggs and whisk well then add oil, sugar powder and mix it well with the help of a whisk.

Then add the sieved dry ingredients maida, baking powder, baking soda,milk powder, to the mixture and mix it well.

Now add vanilla essence, orange juice, lemon zest, orange zest, tutti fruity and mix it properly.

Then grease a cake pot and pour the batter evenly and spread some tutti fruity on the top, and tap it.

Preheat the vessel with salt for 10 minutes, place the cake pot and cover and bake for 30-35 minutes on low flame.
Cake is ready. - 6
Once the Cake cools down decorate the cake with sugar balls and sprinkle.

I came across this recipe on the internet when I was looking for semolina cake recipe. In my first attempt I followed the recipe step by step, but unfortunately the cake turned out very dry. So, I made orange syrup and poured it on top, I thought the syrup would make the cake moist. The cake was nice and moist with orange syrup, but it had to be eaten as quick as possible, because it turned bad the next day.So, in this recipe I have made some adjustments where I reduced the amount of flour and sugar in it and added extra almond powder. I used orange juice instead of milk and added orange zest. The cake turned out very nice, moist with slightly orange flavored. Wiwik Sunariyah -
