Shahi kesar badam phirni recipe

Firstly, squeeze the excess water from rice. Grind it coarsely. Do not grind them too much otherwise it will turn into powder.

Pour full cream milk in a pan. Add rice just before the milk is boiling. Cook it for about 40 minutes. Keep stirring continuously. Add saffron milk mixture.

When the mixture becomes thick, add sugar to it and mix it well. Cook it for 10 minutes then add kewra essence and cardamom powder. After mixing it well. Keep it aside and let it allow to cool for some time.

Put the phirni in an earthen pot or bowl. Cover it and keep it in fridge for at least 4 hours.

Take out the phirni and put saffron and chopped almonds on top.

Finally, your Shahi Phirni is ready to serve. Enjoy it.
