To celebrate the New Year, I made Bread Toast with Rabdi. It tasted delicious and everyone enjoyed it.

First, pour the milk into a frying pan and bring it to a boil. Add the ground cardamom and a few of the chopped nuts. Let the milk simmer and thicken, stirring occasionally.

On another burner, heat the ghee in a pan. Cut the bread slices into triangles. Once the ghee is hot, fry the bread pieces until they turn golden brown. Remove and let them cool. In a separate pan, combine 1/4 cup water and the sugar to make a syrup. Heat until the sugar dissolves and forms a one-string consistency, then set aside.

Once the rabdi (thickened milk) is ready, dip each fried bread piece into the sugar syrup, then place on a serving plate. Pour the rabdi over the bread pieces, sprinkle the remaining chopped nuts on top, and garnish with rose petals or edible silver leaf if you have them. Your Bread Toast with Rabdi is ready to serve.
