Clean, wash and soak barnyard Millet for 10 minutes.

Turn on the Gas and keep one kadhai on it. Pour oil into a kadai and let it warm now add cumin seeds, green chili pieces, and curry leaves saute a little now add finely chopped tomatoes and saute until tomatoes are softened. Now pour 3 Cup water and let it boil. Now add soaked barnyard Millet in it add salt and sugar cover the kadhai with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.

Now open the lid and check if Millet Upma is cooked and the water evaporated then turn off the gas. Now add lemon juice to Millet Upma and mix well. Serve hot with coffee or tea.
