Dal Palak (Lentils Spinach Recipe)

Roast both the dals, till slight change in colour and aromatic.

Cool down and wash the dals twice. Pressure cook with turmeric and salt for one whistle. Allow to cool down naturally.

Heat the cooking oil. Add ponch phutan and allow to crackle. Fry the red chilli, chopped onions till
aromatic. - 4
Add chopped onion green stalks and tomatoes till tomatoes are softer. Then add chopped spinach leaves and saute in low flame to mix well with masala. Mix the ginger powder.

Add a cup of water and bring to boil. Mix roasted cumin powder with the dal palak. Serve hot with roti/ steamed rice.
