Ingredients

5-20 minutes
2-4 servings
  • 2 ozleafy greens of your choice, washed and chopped
  • 1 cantuna in water
  • 1ripe avocado
  • 1 tbspolive oil
  • 1/4lime or more to taste
  • 1little lemon
  • 1 pinchgrated garlic
  • 1little chopped fresh chives or green onion, optional
  • 1little capers
  • Pickled jalapeños
  • 1little grated Gouda cheese

Steps

5-20 minutes
  1. 1

    In a large bowl, mash the avocado with a fork.

  2. 2

    Mix in the olive oil, lime (from 1/4 to as much as you like based on your taste), and a little lemon.

    👉 For flavor, it's important to use more lime than lemon, so the lime flavor stands out.

  3. 3

    Add the tuna WITH its water, a pinch of grated garlic, a little capers, a little chopped fresh chives or green onion, and jalapeños to taste.

  4. 4

    Mix well and gradually add the leafy greens (e.g., lettuce), stirring with each addition.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle with a little grated cheese, preferably Gouda.

  6. 6

    Ideally, let it sit in the fridge for 15 minutes to enhance the flavors, and it's ready.

  7. 7

    If serving as a main dish, accompany with some bread or pita, and it's enough for 2 people. As a side dish, it easily serves 4 portions.
