Ingredients

45 minutes
  • 1 bagpasta (bowtie or fettuccine)
  • 1/2 cupbutter (1 stick)
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • 1 cupheavy cream
  • 3/4 cupParmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cupLambrusco wine (sparkling red)
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • Fresh black pepper
  • Basil (optional garnish)

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook pasta until al dente

  2. 2

    In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat

  3. 3

    Add garlic and sauté for a minute

  4. 4

    Add wine and reduce for 5 minutes

  5. 5

    Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened

  6. 6

    Lower heat to low and fold pasta into sauce

  7. 7

    Garnish with basil or Parmesan cheese, yum!
