  • 2 tbsptamari
  • 2 tbspmirin
  • 1 tbsptomato paste
  • 1 tspchopped garlic
  • 1 1/2 tbspwhite miso (optional)
  • Sauce #2
  • 3 tbsptamari
  • 2 tbspmirin
  • 1 tspchopped garlic
  • 1/2 tbsphoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tbspSriracha sauce
  • 1/2 tbspgojuchang sauce

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Add to tempeh or tofu after pan frying. Reduce heat as reduces quickly. Add water if needed for desired consistency of sauce.

    Notes: This cooks down very quickly. I had reduced the heat but it still cooked down to a very thick. I added water then simmered very low. Then covered and turned the heat off. Perfect sauce consistency when time to serve.

    Serving suggestion: pan fried tempeh in BBQ sauce, co-op hippie's broccoli, and murasaki sweet potatoes, baked, served with maple syrup and butter.

    Serving suggestion, sauce #2, add steamed green beans and serve with rice.
