Ingredients

  1. 1 quartRaw Heavy Cream

Cooking Instructions

    Place cold cream in a kitchen aide stand mixer with whisk attachment.

  2. 2

    Mix until you see whipped cream start to form…. But don’t stop, keep going.

  3. 3

    It will take about 15-20 minutes before it starts to look more gritty, but keep mixing.

  4. 4

    Once you see butter separating from the milk, stop mixer and pour into cheese cloth to strain.

  5. 5

    Rinse butter in cold water to squeeze out as much buttermilk as possible. Then wrap and place in refrigerator.

I’ve seen others use a blender, so yes. I think it just makes a mess with the liquid coming out of the top. So just be careful
