  • 1 1/2 cupscornmeal (about 225 grams)
  • 1/2 cuppancake mix (about 60 grams)
  • 1/2 cupmilk (120 ml)
  • 2 tablespoonsbutter (about 28 grams)
  • 3 tablespoonssugar (about 38 grams)
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1egg

    Combine the cornmeal, pancake mix, and sugar in a bowl.

    Add the butter and 1/2 cup milk, then mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.

    Heat frying oil in a pot. Scoop a spoonful of the mixture to form a ball, place it in the hot oil, and fry until golden brown on all sides. Flip as needed, then remove when done.
