My friend can't eat soy and was admiring a jar of peanut sauce. I decided to make her one without soy.
Modified Asian dressing (no soy) slaw
My friend can't eat soy and was admiring a jar of peanut sauce. I decided to make her one without soy.
Steps

Mix all liquids in a dressing jar, including agave.

Zest ginger and garlic, mince scallions, add to the jar.

Taste for adjustments, chop hot pepper and add. Add peanut butter and mix thoroughly. Let chill for 20 min.

Slice cabbage in long thin strips. Shred carrots, thinly slice onion then add all to a container.

Now taste chilled dressing and adjust as needed. Add as much sauce as desired to coat the slaw mixture. Let marinate before eating.

This can be used in salads, as a side dish, in tacos to add a kick! If used as a side you may want to add some salt and toasted sesame is nice!
