Ingredients

  1. 1.5 lbsPork belly
  2. 2Limes
  3. 3 tablespoonsVinegar
  4. 2crushed Garlic cloves
  5. 3 LeavesBay
  6. 2 tablespoonsOregano
  7. 2 tablespoonsSaborcito Panameño El Blend
  8. 5 cupsWater
  9. 2 cupsVegetable Oil
  10. Saborcito Panameño si pica scotch bonnet hot sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Clean pork belly with 1 Lime and Vinegar

  2. 2

    Dry pork belly with paper towel

  3. 3

    Heavily salt the skin portion. Let sit for 2hours

  4. 4

    Scrape salt off and place in boiling water. Add bay leaves, oregano and garlic

  5. 5

    Boil for 1hour

  6. 6

    Remove from water.

  7. 7

    Slice pork belly in half if cut is too thick

  8. 8

    Season pork with SaborcitoPanameño El Blend

  9. 9

    Add pork to hot grease and fry for 15min (each side)

  10. 10

    Once browned, remove from grease. Place on frying rack to drain

  11. 11

    Squeeze 1 lime, add SaborcitoPanameño Si Pica hot sauce and enjoy!
