Cretan Graviera Saganaki (Plain and with Sesame)

Cut the graviera cheese into three pieces. Dip each piece in cold water, then coat well with flour.

Dip them again in water and then in flour. If you want them plain, stop here and fry them.

If you want them with sesame, continue: dip the pieces in the beaten egg, then coat with sesame seeds.

Heat the oil well in a skillet (the oil should come halfway up the cheese pieces). Add the cheese and fry on all sides until golden.

Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve with honey if desired.
