Clean Tur dal with plain water, put into cooker add water, turmeric powder and some oil, keep for three whistles. Drain the cooked dal water alone to another bowl.

Keep ready onion,red chilli and curry leaves. Squeeze lemon juice.

Keep a kadai on stove, add oil let it heat, add mustard seeds,curry leaves, onion and red chillies fry for few seconds add asafoetida mix well and pure the dal mix water.

Add rasam powder, salt mix it, let rasam boil, remove from flame.

Pour in to a bowl,then add lemon juice mix well.Super tasty lemon rasam is ready.

Superb gondhoraj lemon rasam is ready to serve. It goes very well with rice. You can drink like soup also. Enjoy.
