Farmhouse Recipe: Fresh Spring Rolls With Mizuna Farmhouse Recipe: Fresh Spring Rolls With Mizuna
Fresh spring roll or rice paper wrappers can be stored for a long time so I usually have some in stock. I vary the fillings depending on the season, but I especially like this combination of mizuna greens and cream cheese, and I always make this recipe for parties. The formal name is "Fresh spring rolls with mizuna and cream cheese".My method of rehydrating the rice paper wrappers is pretty lazy, but I just soak them in lukewarm water for 20 to 30 seconds, put them on a cutting board and immediately wrap the fillings with them. That's it. The wrappers do tend to stick together, so put a little space between each roll when you line them up on the serving plate. Recipe by FarmersK cookpad.japan -

Crispy Basic Spring Rolls Crispy Basic Spring Rolls
These are the spring rolls that I've been making for a long time now. They taste great filled with harusame noodles too.If the fillings have too much water content then the spring roll wrappers will tear easily and the oil will spit more, so please soak up any excess moisture with katakuriko. If you wrap the fillings while they're still too hot, the spring roll wrappers could get damaged so please make sure to let them cool sufficiently. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

Fresh Spring Rolls with a Delicious Sauce Fresh Spring Rolls with a Delicious Sauce
I love fresh spring rolls but I'm not too fond of sweet chili sauce...so I combined my favorite seasoning ingredients to make this delicious dipping sauce.Even people who don't like vegetables will eat them served like this, so it's a great way to try out all different sorts of vegetables. When rehydrating the wrappers, it's best if you take them out while they are still a bit firm, since the moisture in the wrapped vegetables will soften them some more and make them just right. If they are still too hard try spraying them with water using a mister or spray. You can also try lightly brushing some water on them. Recipe by Taberunba cookpad.japan -
Easy and Speedy Curry Flavored Spring Rolls Easy and Speedy Curry Flavored Spring Rolls
I had leftover spring roll wrappers and was thinking of a way to make appetizers. Here's my take on cooking a dish with my favorite ingredients: wiener sausages, cheese, and curry.Even if you don't boil the wiener sausages before wrapping it, it will cook through when pan-frying and become plump. Serve with ketchup if you like. For 1 serving. Recipe by Kyocchin cookpad.japan -
Simple Non-Fried Toasted Spring Rolls Simple Non-Fried Toasted Spring Rolls
When eating out I've had both spring rolls with cream cheese and spring rolls with edamame, so I decided to see what would happen if I combined them Then I added some of my favourite mentaiko and cooked them in the oven (since I couldn't be bothered with frying them). They came out really well and everyone loved them! Now I have these all the time. You can add more edamame if you'd like, but if you add in 4, they're spaced out just enough so that you get a bean with each bite. Fresh Spring Rolls with Cheese & Cucumber Chikuwa Fresh Spring Rolls with Cheese & Cucumber Chikuwa
Cucumber chikuwa is a great appetizer, and I made it to be more voluminous! You can eat a lot of these spring rolls in place of a salad I stuff chikuwa with whatever I fancy to enjoy various kinds of fresh spring rolls. It's quicker to rehydrate rice paper wrappers in hot water, but they will be difficult to handle if they soften too much. So you won't fail much if you rehydrate them in water until you get used to making fresh spring rolls. If the rice paper wrapper is too hard to roll, it will soften with the moisture from the vegetables, so let them rest for a little. The rice paper wrapper will soon soften enough to roll. Cream Sauce Filled Pan-Fried Spring Rolls Cream Sauce Filled Pan-Fried Spring Rolls
I learned how to use spring roll wrappers like pasta for Italian oven baked dishes in a cooking class, so I used that as my inspiration.Since the flour and soy milk are added to the sautéed vegetables, you can make a béchamel sauce filling that's not lumpy. The key is to cook the flour well, and to add the soy milk little by little. The stem ends of the vegetables are packed with nutrition, so I used them instead of throwing them away.
