Sizzle! Hamburger Meat Filled Aburaage (Thin Fried Tofu) Teriyaki

I had leftover hamburger mix! I stuffed it in aburaage pockets to make it heartier, and seasoned them with everyone's favorite teriyaki sauce.

150 g of hamburger mix is about 1 serving of hamburger. I made it with a beef and pork mix, but you can use tsukune dumpling mix made with ground chicken, or a tofu burger mix. I recommend both. For 2. Recipe by to*

Ingredients

  1. 2Aburaage
  2. 150 gramsHamburger patties
  3. 1 tbsp☆Sugar
  4. 1 tbsp☆Soy sauce
  5. 1 tbsp☆Mirin
  6. 1Green onions or scallions

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the aburaage lengthwise and cut in half. Open them up so they become pouches, taking care not to let it rip. Stuff with hamburger mix, and secure the opening with a toothpick.

  2. 2

    Put the stuffed aburaage in a pan and brown well on both sides. Add the ☆ sauce ingredients, cover with a lid and let steam over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Sprinkle chopped green onion to serve.
