A Simple Microwaved Lunch! Mentaiko and Cream Udon Noodles

I love frozen udon noodles, so I enjoy it with various pasta sauces.
I have tons of pasta-style udon noodle recipes in my repertoire!

For those of you that like shiso leaves, add two leaves for more deliciousness.

Of course you can use boiled udon or pasta noodles instead of frozen udon.

You don't have to add garlic if the smell bothers you, but I recommend it. For 1 person. Recipe by *Anna*

Ingredients

1 serving
  • 1portion Frozen udon noodles
  • 7 gramsButter
  • 20 gramsMentaiko
  • 1 cmGarlic (tube type)
  • 50 mlHeavy cream
  • 50 mlMilk
  • 1Salt and pepper
  • 1Nori seaweed
  • 2leaves Shiso leaves
  • 1Green onions or scallions

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the frozen noodles into a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave (600W for 3 minutes). While it is microwaving, mince the nori seaweed, shiso leaves, and green onions.

    Add the * ingredient while still hot, and stir well.

    Season with salt and pepper, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and microwave again (600W for 1 minute).

    Give it another quick stir, arrange onto a plate, and top with nori seaweed, shiso leaves, and green onions, then it is done.
