Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 bowlsfresh methi
  • 1/2 cupbesan
  • 3 tbsprice flour
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbspcrushed green chilli,
  • ginger
  • 1 tbspsugar powder
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspdry mango powder
  • 1 tspcarrom seeds
  • 1/4 tspbaking soda
  • Oil for frying
  • For tempering -
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 6-7curry leaves
  • 1ponch hing
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tbspsesame seeds
  • 1-2chopped green chilli

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    First clean the methi, and wash nicely then chop them.

    Take a big bowl add chopped methi and all ingredients, mix everything well then add water little by little and make a soft dough.

    Now make cylindrical shape from the methi mixture dough. Place it on a greased plate and steam them for 12-15 minutes.

    Once methi vadi cool down then cut into slices.

    Heat oil in a kadai put methi vadi pieces and fry them on slow flame till vadi becomes crispy golden brown, take out in absorbent paper.

    Making tadka -
    Heat oil in a small tadka pan add mustard seeds, hing, chopped green chilli, curry leaves and sesame seeds, saute few seconds then spread tadka on the fried methi vadi.
