Slow Cooker Pat's Scouse Slow Cooker Pat's Scouse
I first cooked this typical liverpudlian dish a few years ago. I cooked it in my biggest pot and at the end of the cooking I had to split it in two pans and was struggling to keep it from sticking to the bottom. My friend pat (RIP) lent me a slow cooker and I was a convert ever since. She will always be remembered almu21 -
Creamy Tomato Soup - Slow Cooker Creamy Tomato Soup - Slow Cooker
Another easy dump and go recipe. Perfect for busy weeknights and chilly evenings. I like to serve with some grilled cheese sandwiches, but you could just do some extra cheese and croutons on top or you could stir in some cooked pasta or cooked rice to make it a more filling main meal. This recipe makes quite a lot of soup, but without the cream and cheese it can be frozen or you can half the recipe in a 4 qt sized slow cooker.. Christina -

Just prep the ingredients into a slow cooker and leave it to fill your house with that delicious home cook aroma. If you don’t have a slow cooker you could use a casserole dish and slow cook in oven.I use a raw roux paste to thicken, but you could use a cornflour slurry if you want to make it gluten-free.You can watch instructional video on how we make this on YouTube channel: home cooking coach. Beef Bourguignon Beef Bourguignon
This classic French dish (bœuf bourguignon) is beef cubes slow-cooked and braised in a red wine / beef stock with a few carrots, mushrooms, pearl onions and a bouget garni. It is a standard in French cooking and a great holiday meal to prepare, along-side another classic, Duchess Potatoes. Beef Bourguignon of course can be found in the book, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” however I took the liberty with a few steps to simplify things a bit and of course to enhance the flavors. Pot Roast (Pressure Cooker) Pot Roast (Pressure Cooker)
This pot roast has been honed over the years to suit my taste. I prefer a pot roast with slices of beef, instead of shredded like some recipes, but if you like shredded, you can shred the beef instead. I use a pressure cooker to speed the process up, but if you don't have one, you can roast this traditionally in the oven with a dutch oven (adjustments are in the recipe). I find that 3 cups of total liquid is the right amount for using a pressure cooker but if you're using a dutch oven, add extra water as needed while it cooks. Lance Wilson
