Ingredients

5 hours + 30 minutes
4 servings
  • 2 cupsabudana rinsed and soaked in 2 cup water 5-6 hours
  • 3medium potatoes boiled & mashed
  • 1/4 cuppeanuts roasted, skin remove and then crushed
  • 2 tbspginger and green chili paste
  • 2 tbspcoriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsproasted cumin powder
  • Sindhav salt to taste
  • 1 tbspsugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsplemon juice
  • arrowroot (tapkir) for coating
  • Oil for frying

Steps

5 hours + 30 minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse the sabudana under running water until water turns clear. Then soak it in 2 cup of water for 5 to 6 hours or overnight. Transfer the soaked saubdana to a large plate and add the boiled and grated potatoes, roasted peanuts,and other ingredients.

    Mix everything together using a spatula or your hands. Then divide the mixture into equal parts. Shape each part into a round shape.then coat with tapkir.

    Heat oil in a kadai on medium heat.Add vadas carefully into the hot oil.Fry the vadas on medium heat until golden brown and crispy from both sides. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
