Ingredients

20 minutes
2 serves
  • 1/2 cupbroken wheat / dalia
  • 1/4 cupyellow moong dal
  • 5-6french beans, finely chopped
  • 1/2a carrot, 🥕 finely chopped
  • 2 tbspgreen peas
  • 2 tbspclarified butter/ ghee
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1-2cloves
  • 1small cinnamon
  • 1dry red chilli
  • 1/2 tspginger finely chopped
  • 2-3curry leaves
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tbspcoriander - cumin seeds
  • 1small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsphot chilli - garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander to garnish
  • Fresh curds to serve
  • Fried potato papad to serve

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash dalia & yellow moong dal separately. Mix them & soak them in fresh water for 15 minutes. Chop the veggies finely.

    Pressure cook both dalia & veggies separately. Let the steam release from the pressure cooker.Remove both the bowls.

    Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon & dry red chilli.Saute for 1/2 a minute or till cumin seeds splutter.

    Add hot chilli - garlic paste onions & curry leaves. Saute till onions turn soft. Add all the dry spices. Mix very well. Add 2 tbsp of water, so the spices don't burn or stick to the bottom of the pan.

    Finally add Dalia mixture & veggies. Add salt, mix very well. Serve this one pot meal with fresh curds & fried potato papad.
