Ingredients

2/3 servings
  1. 4sweet potatoes
  2. 2 cupsmilk (not sure if exact amount, just don't put too much)
  3. 1/4 cupcream
  4. 1/2 clovegarlic, minced
  5. 3/4 teaspoonnutmeg
  6. 1/4heaped teaspoon paprika
  7. 1/2 teaspoonsabji masala - (I use MDH brand from indian store)
  8. Approximately, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  9. to tastesalt/pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and thinly slice potatoes using a round potato slicer of some sort. Drain moisture from potatoes using paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mix the milk, cream, spices, garlic, salt and pepper together in a bowl.

  3. 3

    In an oven safe dish, spread out some potatoes and then pour in some of the milk mixture. Repeat this until both are finished.

  4. 4

    Cook the gratin in the oven at 180C for 1 hour or until cooked.

  5. 5

    Put the cheese on top 10 minutes before the gratin has finished cooking.

It's a great flavour. Should try it out. I have to update cooking process as leaves a bit of clear liquid at end
