I had this sandwich at an airport. It was made with sandwich bread sliced about 1/3 inch thick, packed with a surprising amount of lettuce—more lettuce than bread! It was super filling.
If you don’t keep the sandwich wrapped while eating, it will fall apart.

Place a slice of bread on a large piece of plastic wrap. Spread margarine, mustard, mayonnaise, and as many fillings as you like on top. Add the other slice of bread, then wrap tightly with the plastic wrap.

Before eating, cut the sandwich in half while it’s still wrapped.
