Ingredients

Makes 4 pieces
  1. 4 slicesSPAM
  2. Rice for 4 rice balls
  3. 1little bit of nori (seaweed)
  4. Teriyaki Sauce
  5. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  6. 2 tablespoonsmirin
  7. 3 tablespoonssake
  8. 1 tablespoonsugar

Steps

    Slice the SPAM into pieces about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.

    Mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to make the teriyaki sauce.

  3. 3

    Shape the rice into oval shapes to match the size of the SPAM.

  4. 4

    Pan-fry the SPAM until it's nicely browned.

  5. 5

    Once the SPAM is browned, turn off the heat and coat it with the teriyaki sauce using the residual heat.

  6. 6

    Place the SPAM on top of the rice and wrap with a strip of nori cut to about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches wide to finish the SPAM musubi.

    It's also delicious with a slice of omelet or some mayonnaise ❤
