Ingredients

  1. 1 bagfrozen edamame
  2. 1–2 cloves garlic
  3. 1 tablespoonolive oil (15 ml)
  4. 1/2 teaspoonsalt (2.5 ml)
  5. 1dried red chili pepper
  6. 1 pinchMSG (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Thaw the edamame. (You can use the microwave, let them thaw at room temperature, or use any method you prefer.)

  2. 2

    Finely chop the garlic and slice the chili pepper into rings. Add both to a skillet with the olive oil. Cook over low heat to infuse the oil with their flavors.

  3. 3

    When the garlic turns golden brown, add the salt and MSG. Increase the heat to high, add the edamame, and quickly stir-fry.

  4. 4

    Transfer to a plate and, if you like, sprinkle with black pepper.
