Ingredients

Makes about 40–50 gyoza
  1. 10 1/2 ozground pork (300g)
  2. 1 bunchchives
  3. 2 tablespoonspotato starch (about 16g)
  4. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce (about 15ml)
  5. 1 tablespoonsake (about 15ml)
  6. 1 tablespoonoyster sauce (about 15ml)
  7. 1 tablespoonsesame oil (about 15ml)
  8. 1 teaspoonsugar (about 4g)
  9. 1thumb-sized piece fresh ginger
  10. Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare your favorite gyoza wrappers. I like chewy ones that don’t tear easily.

    Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Finely chop the chives and grate the ginger before adding.

  3. 3

    Wrap the filling in the gyoza wrappers. Cook as you like—pan-fry, boil, or steam. Enjoy your gyoza!
