Wash and chop the vegetables well.

Place the meat in a pressure cooker to remove the scum, then add the spices: cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger, whole onion, cardamom pods, bay leaves, and salt. Cook under pressure for 45 minutes.

In another pot, finely chop an onion and sauté it in oil.

Add the vegetables and stir them with the chopped onion, then add the peeled and chopped tomato. Stir them together over low heat and cover the pot until the meat is done cooking.

Once the meat is cooked, strain the broth from the spices and add it to the vegetables along with a tablespoon of tomato paste and salt to taste.

Let the soup boil with the tomato paste over medium heat.

Let it simmer for half an hour or until the vegetables are cooked through. Serve hot.
