Creamy and fluffy! With this recipe, anyone can make easy omurice.
Recipe background:
I love creamy, fluffy omurice, and after lots of trial and error, I arrived at this combination.
Steps
- 1
Mince the garlic. Roughly chop the carrot, onion, and green bell pepper. Slice the sausages into rounds. (You can use any leftover veggies from your fridge.)
- 2
Add olive oil and garlic to a frying pan, then turn on the heat. (If you add the garlic after heating, it may burn, so be careful!)
- 3
Once the garlic is fragrant, add the other vegetables and sausage. Season with salt and pepper, then add the rice and stir-fry everything together.
- 4
Transfer the rice mixture to a plate and sprinkle cheese on top.
- 5
Make the sauce before starting the eggs. Just mix the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce together.
- 6
Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt and pepper. Use chopsticks to briskly cut through the egg whites in a vertical motion, or use a small whisk if you prefer.
- 7
Add the milk and mix well. Heat olive oil in a frying pan until hot. From here, work quickly.
- 8
Keep the heat on high the whole time. Pour in the eggs and stir constantly with chopsticks as if making scrambled eggs.
- 9
When the eggs are just slightly less cooked than you like, turn off the heat and use a spatula to pour the eggs over the rice.
- 10
Top with the sauce and enjoy!

For step 8, you can also use a spatula to gently scrape the bottom of the pan after adding the eggs for an extra creamy texture.
- 14
Try adding some dried basil to the eggs in step 6 for extra flavor!
