Easy Sukiyaki with Beef and Enoki Mushrooms
Give this a try for lunchboxes—it's a great way to enjoy sukiyaki even if someone in your family isn't a fan.

This is my go-to recipe with a simple 1:1 ratio of soy sauce and sugar.
My husband isn't usually a fan of sukiyaki, but adding black pepper makes it taste different enough that he enjoys it! (lol)

Sauté the beef in a skillet. When it starts to change color, add the sugar and soy sauce.

Simmer briefly, then add the enoki mushrooms with the stems removed. When the mushrooms soften, sprinkle with black pepper.

I often pack this in lunchboxes. So far, no one has noticed it's sukiyaki-flavored! (lol)
