Edamame and Shio Kombu Rice Balls (Onigiri)

The salty flavor of shio kombu pairs perfectly with edamame. Just mix and shape—perfect for busy mornings! Thank you for making this recipe popular.
Recipe background:
Edamame goes well with a bit of salt, so I thought it would be a great match with shio kombu. That's how I came up with this recipe.

Steps
- 1
Add the cooked rice to a bowl, then add the edamame (thawed and removed from the pods).
- 2
Add the shio kombu as well.
- 3
Mix everything together, then shape into your preferred onigiri (rice ball) shape.
- 4
I used shio kombu for this recipe. The saltiness was just right, so you don't need to add extra salt to your hands when shaping the rice balls.
