Serves 1 serving
  • 1 bowlcooked rice (about 1 cup, 150 grams)
  • About 15 pods frozen edamame (shelled)
  • 1 tablespoonshio kombu (seasoned kelp)

Steps

    Add the cooked rice to a bowl, then add the edamame (thawed and removed from the pods).

    Add the shio kombu as well.

    Mix everything together, then shape into your preferred onigiri (rice ball) shape.

    I used shio kombu for this recipe. The saltiness was just right, so you don't need to add extra salt to your hands when shaping the rice balls.
