Ingredients

30 minutes
4 Servings
  1. 800 gPork Belly Block (Boneless)
  2. 1 cupWater
  3. 1-2small pieces Ginger *thinly sliced
  4. 2 tablespoonsSake
  5. 2 tablespoonsSugar
  6. 3-4 tablespoonsSoy Sauce

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Place Water, Ginger, Sake (Rice Wine), Sugar and Soy Sauce in a pressure cooker.

  2. 2

    Cut Pork Belly into 5cm cubes and add to the pressure cooker.

  3. 3

    Cook for about 20 minutes under pressure. When the lid can be removed, simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens.

  4. 4

    *If you don’t have a pressure cooker, add slightly more water and cook covered over medium low heat for 2 to 3 hours or until the meat is absolutely tender.
