Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • 4small bell peppers
  • 5.3 ozground chicken (about 150g)
  • 1/3 stalkgreen onion
  • 1/2 teaspoonmiso
  • 1/2 teaspoonsoy sauce
  • 1/2egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • as neededAll-purpose flour,

Steps

  1. 1

    Finely chop the green onion and beat the egg.

  2. 2

    Mix the ground chicken with miso, soy sauce, the chopped green onion, salt, and pepper. (You can use the remaining egg for miso soup!)

  3. 3

    Cut the bell peppers in half, remove the seeds, and dust with flour.

  4. 4

    Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture.

  5. 5

    Heat a frying pan, add oil, and place the stuffed peppers meat-side down. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes until browned.

  6. 6

    Reduce to low heat, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes. Turn the heat back to medium, flip the peppers, and cook for 1 more minute.

  7. 7

    Cover again and cook on low heat for about 2 more minutes. Serve on a plate and enjoy.

    They are also delicious with a splash of ponzu sauce.
