Ingredients

Makes about 100 pieces
  1. 4 cupsfine yellow bulgur (about 640 grams)
  2. 1egg
  3. Breadcrumbs
  4. 1 teaspoonmixed spices
  5. Ground hot red pepper, to taste
  6. 1 teaspoonsalt
  7. Filling:
  8. Ground beef
  9. Onion
  10. Green bell pepper
  11. Spices
  12. Salt
  13. Hot pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the bulgur in boiling water for 2 hours, then add the spices, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    After soaking, mix in the egg and breadcrumbs until you have a firm dough.

  3. 3

    For the filling, sauté the onion and green pepper in a little oil, then add the ground beef, spices, and salt. Cook until done.

  4. 4

    Shape the kibbeh dough into balls, then make a hole in the center of each.

    Add the filling.

    Seal each kibbeh well.

    Finally, fry in plenty of very hot oil until golden brown.

    Enjoy your finished kibbeh!
