Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

This ends up being my breakfast 4 days out of the week. It's delicious, filling and very simple. It does take a little planning ahead, but it's worth it to have a speedy breakfast on the go. If you use frozen bananas for your smoothies, you can leave out the ice cubes. This makes 1 large smoothie or 2 small kid sized smoothies.

Steps

  1. 1

Start the night before, by soaking the oats. Place the oats with the milk in a mason jar or Tupperware with a lid and refrigerate overnight.

  2. 2

In the morning when you're ready to make the smoothie, place the soaked oats and milk into the blender, then add the rest of the ingredients.

  3. 3

Blend until smooth and enjoy immediately.

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
