Season the pork ribs with salt and fry them in plenty of hot oil until browned. Remove and drain on paper towels. Set aside.

Sauté the vegetables (bay leaves, onion, whole garlic cloves, chopped tomato, and chopped green bell pepper).

Once the vegetables are sautéed, add the reserved pork ribs. Stir a few times, then pour in the white wine. Let it cook for a bit to let the alcohol evaporate.

Next, add the beef broth or chicken broth. If you don't have broth, use water with a beef bouillon cube. Also add the peeled and chopped potatoes.

Simmer over medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes. The potatoes should be soft so the broth thickens.
