Steps
- 1
First, melt the butter using a double boiler. Pour the milk into a bowl and mix with the melted butter, then slowly add the beaten egg and stir.
- 2
In another bowl, sift together the brown sugar, cake flour, baking powder, and glutinous rice flour. Add the egg and milk mixture and combine into a dough.
- 3
Preheat the oven. Shape the dough into balls weighing about 8-10 g each (the picture shows 10 g), and wrap about 5 g of chocolate inside each ball, forming them into a round shape.
- 4
Connect the balls with water to form a donut shape, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.
- 5
Meanwhile, prepare the coating by melting the chocolate using a double boiler. Coat the donuts in any style you prefer (dip upside down, pipe with a pastry bag, or spread with a spatula).
- 6
Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with chopped nuts to finish.
