Steps

Wash the sweetpotatoes to remove excess dirt and place in a sufuria.

Add water, then salt and cover with a lid to allow the sweet potatoes to boil.

Place the sufuria over high heat

After about 10 minutes when the sweetpotatoes have softened remove the lid and puncture the sweetpotatoes with a sharp knife to speed up the cooking process, cover the pot again and let the sweetpotatoes finish cooking for an additional 15 minutes until it is tender

Allow the sweetpotatoes to cool then peel of the skin using a knife or you can eat them with skin according to your preference.
