Steps

  1. 1

Make 2 skewers of each type.

  2. 2

    Beef Skewers:
Cut the beef into 4 bite-sized pieces. Slice the zucchini into rounds. Thread onto skewers and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Pork & Okra Skewers:
Cut the pork and okra in half lengthwise. Wrap the pork around the okra, thread onto skewers, and season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Pork & Tomato Skewers:
Cut the pork in half lengthwise. Wrap the pork around the cherry tomatoes, thread onto skewers, and season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Chicken Skewers:
Cut the chicken into 4 bite-sized pieces. Cut the red bell pepper into 1-inch (3cm) squares. Thread onto skewers and season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Seafood Skewers:
Remove the shells and veins from the shrimp. Microwave the corn (with husk) for about 3 minutes at 500W.

  7. 7

Once the corn has cooled, cut into 3/4-inch (2cm) rounds, then halve each round. Thread shrimp, corn, and scallops onto skewers in that order, and season with salt and pepper.

  8. 8

Heat oil on an electric griddle. Place the skewers from steps 2–7 on the griddle and cook at medium heat (about 400°F/200°C) until done.
