A wonderful maamoul dough that crumbles and melts in your mouth—truly amazing!

In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and mahlab. Add the ghee and butter, then rub the mixture together with your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a cup, combine the orange blossom water, rose water, and sweetened condensed milk. Gradually add this mixture to the dough, mixing as you go. If more liquid is needed, add extra orange blossom water (not plain water), as needed depending on the flour type.

Mix the dough gently without kneading or overworking it. Place the dough in the refrigerator, and work with small portions at a time.

Prepare the filling: Combine all the filling ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat until the dates are soft and absorb all the flavors.

Shape the date mixture into small balls. Fill each piece of dough with a date ball, lightly dust with flour, and shape using maamoul molds.

Bake in a preheated oven at medium heat until the maamoul is set and lightly golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake to keep them soft.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
